Mai Der Vang

Mai Der Vang is the author of Yellow Rain and Afterland, which received the 2016 Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets, was long-listed for the 2017 National Book Award for Poetry, and was named a finalist for the 2018 Kate Tufts Discovery Award. Vang coedited How Do I Begin? A Hmong American Literary Anthology with the Hmong American Writers’ Circle. She teaches in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Fresno State.
