Architectural historian David Silverman is the go-to source for L.A homeowners seeking a detailed history of their property. He will share true tales and rare photographs of some of the incredible homes he has researched for his clients.
Silverman is the proprietor of LA House Histories, a niche company that specializes in producing privately commissioned books for the owners of historic residences. His research has included properties owned by such Hollywood icons as Shirley Temple, David O. Selznick, Cecil B. DeMille, Marlene Dietrich, and Frank Sinatra.
Silverman was profiled in the Fall 2019 issue of Alta by writer James Bartlett.

The Altatini
Ingredients
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. cranberry juice
1/2 oz. Cointreau or triple sec
1 1/2 oz. vodka or vodka citron
Lime wheel (for garnish)
Steps
- Put all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake for 30 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a lime wheel.
