  • What: Your host, John Freeman, will be in conversation with Walter Mosley, author of the groundbreaking novel Devil in a Blue Dress. We’ll have a guest appearance by prizewinning writer Edwidge Danticat, who will join them briefly to discuss Black life in Los Angeles during the 1940s, as experienced by Easy Rawlins, the novel’s protagonist. We might also hear some anecdotes about the filming of the movie adaptation—Danticat worked on the set.
