This week’s bestsellers list features the first novel by our California Book Club’s December 2023 special guest, Kelly Link. The Book of Love captures the magical challenges faced by three teenagers as they attempt to regain their former lives. Also gracing the top of the list: award-winning Los Angeles producer and writer Ed Zwick and his memoir, Hits, Flops, and Other Illusions: My Fortysomething Years in Hollywood. The colorful book is riddled with observations, anecdotes, and advice accumulated during Zwick’s four-plus decades in showbiz.
