It’s the most wonderful time of the year (for Southern California booklovers)! The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books will once again take over the University of Southern California campus on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19. You’ll find friendly faces at Alta Journal’s centrally located Booth 111, right near that scantily clad Tommy Trojan and the live music stage.
In addition to the more than 150,000 attendees, 500 authors, and 200 literary events that make up this massive festival, you can meet California Rewritten author and California Book Club host John Freeman at Alta’s booth on Saturday, April 18, from 1 to 2 p.m. Freeman will sign copies of his book and field your suggestions for CBC guests. Come by to flip through Alta’s new book club–themed issue, take advantage of deals on Alta subscriptions, grab back issues, and meet Alta editors and contributors. (We also tend to have the scoop on the secret location of the cleanest and closest public restroom.)
