Cartoonist, filmmaker, and educator Kate Isenberg has published her humor in the New Yorker, the New Republic, and Alta Journal. She has an uncanny ability to crack us up (in a good way) with her clever cartoons and captions. Isenberg joins Alta Live to share some of her work, detail her journey to hilarity, and answer all of your cartoon questions.

Kate Isenberg is a cartoonist, animator, and songwriter. Her cartoons have appeared in the New Yorker, Alta Journal, the New Republic, and Narrative. Her animated short film Dear Death—based on her longtime comic strip, Stewball—won a Matt Groening Production Fellowship and has screened at festivals around the world. Isenberg has released two albums of original songs and has taught animation and sound design at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television as well as at California College of the Arts.
