Tell us about a great underrated book about L.A.

Last year, I finished this book Maeve Fly, by CJ Leede. It’s about a woman who is struggling with her murderous tendencies and eventually gives in to them. It’s a wild, crazy, insane book that is both funny and disgusting in equal measure. I’m new to Los Angeles, and it was one of the first books I read that takes place in a city while I lived in it. And it captures the two faces of Los Angeles really well.
