MARILYN’S BATHTUB
Only last week did I finally see the film River of No Return, but I knew of it for decades. It was filmed in Banff, Alberta, in the Canadian Rockies, and the stars Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel.
I stayed there in 1970 and again in 2014. I knew Marilyn stayed there and slipped the concierge money to let me stay in the room Marilyn stayed in.
While the bed was different, it had the original bathtub that MM used. I took a long, hot soak in that tub.
