Come join Alta Journal—live and in person—to celebrate Issue 22, which is devoted to the landscape, communities, and culture of the deserts of the West. At this event, cohosted by (and at) San Francisco’s Bookshop West Portal, Alta contributing writers Mary Ladd and Marcus Crowder and Alta contributing poet James Cagney will be on hand to read from their work, while Alta editors will serve up wine and pass out a surprise gift. Everyone is welcome at this free gathering to toast the latest issue of our award-winning quarterly magazine. Books by Alta contributors will be available for sale—and signing.
