Forget everything you think you don’t like about the embattled Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The stadium, home to the city’s beleaguered Oakland A’s, is a civic icon, a throwback to a simpler era for America’s pastime, and a worthy space for a baseball team that deserves more from its owner. So argues writer Jesse Nathan in the Alta Journal weekly newsletter. Nathan joins Alta Live to celebrate the Coliseum’s advantages over its more modern counterparts, lament the team’s lack of investment in its players and planned move to Las Vegas, and field your opinions and questions about what is likely the end of an East Bay era. Peanuts and Cracker Jack optional.
