Head to the heart of San Francisco’s North Beach for a night of poetry, literature, and crossword puzzles to fête Alta Journal’s Issue 27. Poet Tayi Tibble, whose extraordinary original essay Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa: Ocean Memory is published as an Alta Folio in our latest issue, will participate in a Q&A with fellow poet Forrest Gander and read from her new collection, Rangikura. We’ll also be joined by writer Sylvia Brownrigg, who will read from her short story “Chinese School,” and crossword constructors Rebecca Goldstein and Rafael Musa, who will reveal the secrets to creating the perfect puzzle—and perhaps provide audience members with a special crossword of their own. Sip wine, talk books, and make new friends during what’s sure to be a special evening.

The event is free to attend, but please register in advance. We hope to see you there!
