Any interesting bookish traditions among customers in the store?

We recently acquired a beautiful old Remington typewriter—on loan from a local typewriter advocate—which lives on the store floor for customers to try out. Customers have taken to writing poetry and having conversations back and forth on the typewriter. Our booksellers’ new favorite closing duty is to take the paper out at the end of the day and see what’s going on in our local discourse.
