WHERE HAS THE GREY HAIR GONE?
I am flabbergasted by page 65 in Alta Journal’s Issue 30. That is minimally misrepresentative of what Californians look like. I am native-born (1950) from Harborside—long since swallowed up by sprawling Chula Vista. That is not what most Californians look like. Maybe that’s precisely your point. The diversity is our blessing, but you left so much out. There are no people of age in your images. The gentleman on the bottom left looks around 50 years old. There are no images of, forgive the term, “senior citizens.” None. You should be chagrined.
Other than that, I really appreciate what you folks are doing. Thank you.
