Mars is so 2021. In 2022, astronauts are shooting for the moon. The most recent person to touch its surface, Gene Cernan, took his last lunar step in 1972. But NASA’s first Artemis mission is expected to launch this year, and the program will eventually reunite humans with the moon after a hiatus of more than half a century. Talk about fads waxing and waning.•
